The Heart of India

Hyderabad, Delhi, Khajuraho, Orchha, Agra

Explore the rich history and heritage of India on this unforgettable 10-day trip. Unrivaled in its beauty, India offers an incredible diversity of architecture, religions, customs, and cultural traditions. Our journey begins in Hyderabad, also known as the “The City of Pearls,” where we wander through vibrant markets and breathtaking architectural sites, including WMF’s project at Osmania Women’s College. Then we experience the captivating sights, smells, and sounds of Delhi before traveling to the state of Madhya Pradesh. WMF has worked in Madhya Pradesh since 2011 to develop a sustainable program for the conservation and maintenance of the state’s many heritage sites— here we stop to see the towns of Khajuraho and Orchha. The trip culminates in Agra, where we visit the Taj Mahal and explore WMF’s current work at two Mughal Gardens. On our final night we conclude WMF’s 50th Anniversary celebrations with a special evening in Agra. For those who would like to continue the journey, we will travel to Jaipur and spend two days exploring “The Pink City” before returning home.
