Travelers participated in a cultural journey through the stunning landscape, local communities, and urban centers of Peru. They flew to Trujillo and received insider access to the pre-Inca archaeological sites of Huaca de la Luna, Chan Chan, and Chankillo. A few days in Cusco followed, with a tour of Machu Picchu. The highlight was an all-day ceremony celebrating the completion of the restoration work, supported by WMF, at the baroque church of San Pedro de Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, the centerpiece of the Andean Baroque Route. The trip concluded with a few days in Lima and a private tour of Quinta de Presa, an eighteenth-century villa in the Rimac neighborhood built in a late-rococo style.

Since 1991, World Monuments Fund has transported heritage enthusiasts to destinations near and far on specially designed trips built around private visits to WMF projects and sites. Travelers engage with fellow participants, gain new insights into local cultures, learn about historic preservation efforts across the globe, and enjoy unparalleled access to the world’s most treasured places.
